Christian Wilhelmsson is looking forward to spending the season with Bolton Wanderers.
The Swedish winger has agreed a year-long loan deal with The Trotters, with a view to a permanent switch from Nantes.
The transfer should be concluded within 24 hours and Wilhelmsson admits there are plenty of positives to the move.
"It's always been a matter of England, Italy or Spain for me," Wilhelmsson told Expressen.
"It's a good club, with a new stadium and some big names on the books.
"In the Premier League, it's big matches every week and additionally Bolton will play in the Uefa Cup.
"I can't comment on the salary, but I am pleased."
Wilhelmsson spent the second half of last season on loan at Roma and he enjoyed his stint with the Italian club.
He added: "It was a bit tough in the beginning, but I got over it.
"It was the best time of my career. I got to experience a lot during the six months I was there."
